Description

The Shear Comfort Arm Support Protectors securely attach to the arm rest of a standard chair or a wheelchair giving the user added comfort and protection. They are especially useful for those who rely on their arm supports to shift their body weight or for chairs with insufficient padding.

The sheep’s XD 1900 gsm wool yields to accommodate the user’s arm, providing comfort and reducing the likelihood that the arms will slip off the chair. All shear comfort products minimise shear and friction and also successfully wick moisture.  This in turn reduces the risk of skin damage and pressure ulcers.

Adjustable Velcro straps mean the Shear Comfort Arm Support Protectors can be properly fastened for a secure fit.

For best results when caring for your sheepskin, Shear Comfort recommends washing with Shear Comfort Shampoo and Conditioner

Fabric-backed medical sheep’s wool, unique to Shear Comfort

XD1900 is medical sheep’s wool unique to Shear Comfort, with a fibre
density higher than even the very best natural sheepskins – which gives it
superior pressure redistribution properties.

This is achieved by weaving natural wool to a fabric backing, and is not
to be confused with artificial sheepskins created from synthetic ‘wool.’ We use
natural wool, and treat it to ensure it can be repeatedly washed up to 80°C.
Plus, because XD1900 has no leather backing, it can be washed with normal household
detergent.  

All Shear Comfort products are machine washable, and guaranteed against
deterioration for up to 50 washes.
