The Shear Comfort XD1900 Wool Elbow Protector is ideal to protect against knocks whilst redistributing pressure, relieving irritation, and thereby easing blood flow over the bony joint, encouraging skin maintenance and repair over this problem area. The Elbow Protectors will fit snugly to ensure shear and friction are reduced and moisture is successfully wicked away to minimise skin damage and ulceration.
The Shear Comfort Elbow Protectors are made from XD1900 which uses high-density wool woven at 1900g per sqm for pressure redistribution and added comfort and are equipped with easy-fastening Velcro straps for ease of attachment and adjustment.
For best results when caring for your sheepskin, Shear Comfort recommends washing with Shear Comfort Shampoo and Conditioner

Fabric-backed medical sheep’s wool, unique to Shear Comfort
XD1900 is medical sheep’s wool unique to Shear Comfort, with a fibre
density higher than even the very best natural sheepskins – which gives it
superior pressure redistribution properties.
This is achieved by weaving natural wool to a fabric backing, and is not
to be confused with artificial sheepskins created from synthetic ‘wool.’ We use
natural wool, and treat it to ensure it can be repeatedly washed up to 80°C.
Plus, because XD1900 has no leather backing, it can be washed with normal household
detergent. Â
All Shear Comfort products are machine washable, and guaranteed against
deterioration for up to 50 washes.
