The Shear Comfort Palm Protector is ideal for users who need to protect their palms from damage, such as those who have permanently curled fingers, or users of crutches. The Palm Protector is designed to provide relief from painful hand contractures and prevents the nails from digging into the delicate tissue of the palms. Easy to use, it is placed over the thumb and around the hand.
The XD1900 gsm woven wool effectively regulates body temperature and can therefore be used in both summer and winter. The air trapped between the wool fibres allows heat and moisture to dissipate. The Palm Protectors are ambidextrous and adjustable to fit all hand sizes, using hook and loop Velcro straps. Ambidextrous; one size fits all. Sold individually.

Shear Comfort XD1900
Fabric-backed medical sheep’s wool, unique to Shear Comfort
XD1900 is medical sheep’s wool unique to Shear Comfort, with a fibre
density higher than even the very best natural sheepskins – which gives it
superior pressure redistribution properties.
This is achieved by weaving natural wool to a fabric backing, and is not
to be confused with artificial sheepskins created from synthetic ‘wool.’ We use
natural wool, and treat it to ensure it can be repeatedly washed up to 80°C.
Plus, because XD1900 has no leather backing, it can be washed with normal household
detergent.
All Shear Comfort products are machine washable, and guaranteed against
deterioration for up to 50 washes.
